  • Began studying Takamura Ha Shindō Yōshin Ryū under the supervision of Douglas Walker (Chūden Menkyo), and holds a Shoden Menkyo in the same from Tobin Threadgill (Menkyo Kaiden).
  • Holds a Menjō Koden in Shinkage Ryū and a Menjō Shoden in Jikishinkage Ryū at the Hōbyōkan from Dr. David Hall.
